Daniel 8:12-14

¹² Because of wickedness, the host was given over to it together with the regular burnt-offering;^[a] it cast truth to the ground, and kept prospering in what it did. ¹³ Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one that spoke, ‘For how long is this vision concerning the regular burnt-offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled?’^{[b] 14} And he answered him,^[c] ‘For two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings; then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state.’
